These are just some blessings that 2025 is going to bring for central employees. Amongst them, the biggest would be good news regarding the 8th Pay Commission. The employees will be happy because the salary and pension would increase under it. And like every year, this year too, they are hoping that there will be an increase in DA in January.
8th pay commission: New Year gift to central employees with so much increase in salary and pension
My job alarm – (Revised Pay Commission): January 2025 will mark nine years since the news of the 7th Pay Commission, which is why employees have started waiting patiently for the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. Many services will increase the employees’ salary and benefit them in strings of other allowances apart from the salary increase within it. However, no such official announcement has been made by the central government in this direction so far. Let us tell you that a new pay commission is issued by the central government after every 10 years.
Increase in the fitment factor-As demanded by employees-
As per the public information available, the central government is considering the provision of raising the salary of employees under the 8th Pay Commission. It is expected that a new fitment factor of 2.86 would come into being under the new pay commission for the employees. Once implemented, the employees would entitle to about three times their current salary (Salary Hike in 8th pay commission), which would certainly be relief for them. This is the amount of salary and pension increments which will be based on the fitment factor.
Fitment factor remained this much under the 7th Pay Commission-
The retirement benefits of pensioners will see a huge jump with the increase in the fitment factor. There will be many such changes in the salary of serving employees. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the minimum pension is given to employees at Rs 9,000. If the fitment factor becomes 2.86, this amount could rise to approximately Rs 25,740. All of that is apart from the information regarding dearness allowance (DA Hike) and other allowances from the government.
