Bihar Government Increases Dearness Allowance by 3% for Employees…

The Bihar government has recently made a major announcement that 3% dearness allowance to its employees should be implemented . This cabinet meeting was conducted on Thursday where Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar presided over the session.

Details of the DA Hike

Meaning that the pay scaled up dearness allowance for government employees, pensioners and family pensioners in Bihar will increase from 50 to 53%. This hike will start from July of the year 2024 allowing organisatios employees get prepared for higher living costs.

Other Key Decisions in the Meeting

The cabinet also ratified a number of other significant recommendations as follows. Of them the new Bihar Social media and Online media rules 2024 were passed to light. Furthermore, for the development of tourism related infrastructure acquired near Punauradham temple in Sitamarhi, Rs 120 crore was approved.

For better policing, the outgoing government recommended 153 police posts which have been approved by the government. This includes posts for DSP Police Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and Constables.

Public services and infrastructures should be the main concern.

At the meeting it was also decided about providing the map for the maintenance of public toilets proposed at crucial tourist spots in Bihar through Sulabh International Social Service Organization. Moreover the Patna Sadar Zone was again divided into four new zones for efficient administration and controlling. These zones will get new posts as will 60 new posts.

These changing values can be attributed with ongoing changes that the successive state governments make to enhance delivery of services and establishing facilities for the people. DA increase will be embraced by employees as well as pensioners, since it will supplement their income during difficult moments.
